Social Aid Recipients Encouraged to Accelerate Herd Immunity Achievement

The Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) encourages recipients of the non-cash social assistance (BSNT) to jointly achieve the target of herd immunity in order to contain the transmission of Covid-19. One of them is by way of vaccination.

We invite the wider community, including recipients of social assistance to make the vaccination movement a success

"We invite the wider community, including recipients of social assistance to make the vaccination movement a success," stated Jakarta Dinsos Head, Premi Lasari, Thursday (7/29).

He explained, vaccinations for the assistance recipients were compliance with the Central Government regulations as stated in Presidential Regulation number 14/2021 on Amendments to Presidential Regulation number 99/2020 on Vaccine Procurement and Vaccination Implementation in the Context of Combating the Covid-19.

"This policy is very good. The vaccination is also an effort to protect them who are poor citizens from severe symptoms when exposed to coronavirus," he explained.

He asserted, those who had not been vaccinated could still receive help.

"I really appreciate those who have been vaccinated. For those who have not asked for it, you can go to the nearest vaccination centers," he said.

As for the information, in the morning, the Jakarta Governor symbolically released the distribution trucks for non-cash assistance in the form of 10-kg rice sacks at the Cipinang Main Market, East Jakarta.

It would be distributed to 1,007,379 households in total. But the assistance has not been able to be given to 99,763 people, following the finding of potential duplication of data.
